About Villa del Sella

Discover Villa del Sella, a 230 m² country house in Arriondas (Asturias), beside the river Sella and at the gateway to the Picos de Europa. It combines the rustic charm of traditional Asturian architecture with all the comforts of a modern home.

Set in privileged natural surroundings, with a fenced 700 m² private garden and panoramic views of the valley and the mountains. Ideal for families, groups of friends or couples' getaways looking to combine nature, Asturian cuisine and adventure.

4 bedrooms (upstairs, a suite with a 180 cm bed and private bathroom with bathtub; downstairs, three with two 90 cm beds that join into a 180 cm double, the middle one with a raised kids' bed for up to 4 children), sleeping up to 12 (8 adults + 4 children under 12), 2 full bathrooms and a toilet, a spacious living room and underfloor heating, an oak kitchen with a central island and an outdoor dining area with a barbecue.

10 minutes by car from Cangas de Onís, 20 min from Ribadesella beach and at the starting point of the Sella descent. Picos de Europa, Covadonga, prehistoric caves and the best Asturian cider houses a stone's throw away.

It is 230 m² with 4 bedrooms: upstairs, a suite with a 180 cm bed and its own bathroom with a bathtub; downstairs, three with two 90 cm beds that join into a double or stay as twins on request (the middle one also has a raised kids' bed for up to 4 children under 12), a full bathroom and a toilet: up to 12 guests, so it works just as well for one family as for two or three families together.
Where exactly is it and how do we get there?
In Arriondas (Asturias, northern Spain), right by the river Sella. A 10-minute drive from Cangas de Onís, 20 minutes from Ribadesella beach and some 20-25 minutes from the Picos de Europa and the Covadonga lakes. Oviedo and Gijón are under an hour away, and Asturias airport a little over an hour.
What is there to do nearby?
The Sella canoe descent starts practically at the door, and around you there is hiking in the Picos de Europa, the Cares Route, Covadonga and its lakes, prehistoric caves, beaches and the cider houses and cheeses of the region. It is a house for days out and quiet dinners back home.
Is it a good house for children?
Yes. The private 700 m² garden is fenced, there is an outdoor dining area with barbecue and the bedrooms can be configured as needed. The whole house has underfloor heating, so it is warm in winter.

The whole house with final cleaning included: a fully equipped oak kitchen with a central island, spacious lounge and underfloor heating, outdoor dining area with barbecue, fenced 700 m² garden with valley views and parking. Yes, but please ask us before booking: tell us what pet it is and we confirm. The 700 m² garden is fenced, so the house lends itself well to coming with a dog.
